The Role at a glance:

We are looking for a skilled, motivated bartender to join our Constellation Culinary Group team at the Folger Shakespeare Library! As a bartender, you will have the opportunity to mix and serve a variety of beverages and perform meal service for a diverse clientele.

What you'll be doing:

  • Following standard recipes to mix and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to guests of the service bar. 
  • Setting up and breaking down all front of house and back of house bars and beverage stations. 
  • Performing food service as needed. 
  • Customer service, including describing and recommending menu items.

What we're looking for:

Must-haves: 

  • At least 18 years old. 
  • Strong communication and customer service skills. 
  • Ability to memorize and describe a variety of recipes, especially for mixed beverages. 
  • A valid state bartending license. 

Nice-to-haves: 

  • Prior bartending experience.  

Compensation:

$17.50/hour plus tips
