The Role at a glance:
The Dining & Events (D&E) segment of Elior North America encompasses a portfolio of distinct hospitality brands, each dedicated to delivering premier dining and hospitality experiences. D&E serves a wide variety of environments, including cultural institutions, attractions, event venues, retail outlets, business settings, and bespoke catering operations. Additionally, the segment oversees commissaries that provide critical support to these operations.
The D&E Marketing & Creative Department plays an essential role in bringing these experiences to life. Our team supports clients, partners, operators, and team members by delivering innovative marketing strategies, creative branding solutions, and visually compelling designs that align with the unique needs of each setting. Whether it's launching a new venue, refreshing an existing brand, or developing promotional activations, the department ensures that every project reflects the high standards of our hospitality brands while driving engagement and elevating guest experiences.
What you'll be doing:
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
New Business Openings & Unit Refresh Sourcing
Collaborates with the Creative Director to create engaging lookbooks that visually communicate design concepts, merchandise selections, service smallwares and uniform styling.
Develops and manages comprehensive purchasing guides for service wares, merchandising supplies, and uniforms.
Oversees the ordering process, tracks purchases, and ensures accurate maintenance of payment and order records.
Provides onsite support for the receipt, unpacking, installation, and troubleshooting of items sourced through the Marketing & Creative team.
Creates standard operating procedures (SOPs) and visual guides for the post-opening maintenance of service wares, merchandising supplies, and uniforms.
Contributes to creative concept development and sourcing to ensure we maintain a competitive edge while meeting the unique needs of each client and new unit.
Cultivates relationships with both existing and new vendors to ensure seamless project execution and meet the specific needs of each business opening.
Creative Operations
Manages the ordering, inventory, and distribution of branded collateral & swag through preferred shipping channels.
Oversees uniform guidelines, maintains the uniform ordering portals, and handles uniform orders.
Supports photoshoots by coordinating photographer scheduling, preparing shot lists, sourcing props, and providing onsite assistance.
Supports digital file organization across multiple platforms and programs to ensure accessibility and efficiency.
Manages client and associate gifting throughout the year, including during scheduled gifting distributions.
Provides onsite support for promotional events, new opening visits, unit installations, and other field-related activities.
Administrative & Support
Creates and manages effective databases for tracking projects, assets, and collateral.
Ensures project tasks are completed on schedule and deadlines are consistently met.
Develops and maintains departmental processes through Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and ongoing program updates.
Processes and tracks monthly department invoices to ensure timely vendor payments.
Maintains department access and logins for various programs and platforms.
Conducts vendor research and builds relationships with external partners.
Maintains content on the Dining & Events Marketing SharePoint site.
Collects, inventories, and saves collateral related to advertising, editorials, and public relations activations.
Actively monitors project timelines, resource allocation, and vendor performance to identify potential risks that may impact project success. Communicates these risks promptly to the Creative Director, offering potential solutions or alternative approaches to mitigate the impact. Ensures that risks related to budget, deadlines, or quality standards are addressed proactively to avoid disruptions.
What we're looking for:
Must-Haves
Minimum of three (3) years creative/marketing/administrative operations experience. Food service and catering experience preferred, but not required.
Creative & Visual Skills:
- Eye for art, style, and design.
- Strong proofreading skills to ensure accuracy and consistency.
Marketing & Promotional Knowledge:
- Knowledge of marketing functions such as advertising, merchandising, and promotions.
- Ability to manage and prioritize a diverse roster of marketing and creative projects in a fast-paced environment.
Organizational & Administrative Proficiency:
- Strong organizational skills to ensure creative and marketing projects are well-structured and efficient.
- Proficient in MS Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and internet.
- Balanced skillset of administrative proficiency and creativity.
Critical Thinking & Responsiveness:
- Excellent critical thinking skills and attention to detail, with a data-driven mindset.
- Demonstrated urgency and responsiveness to requests; able to remain level-headed in crisis situations.
Collaboration & Relationship Building:
- Excellent communication skills including written and verbal
- Eager to learn and collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
- Able to quickly build relationships, both internally and externally.
Nice-to-Haves
- Experience in food service, catering, and hospitality, even if unrelated to marketing & creative support
- Experience with Canva and/or Adobe Creative Suite applications (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)
- Experience with print and merchandise production
Compensation Range
Salary: $75,000
