The Role at a glance:
We have an amazing Human Resource Leadership role for supporting our Dining and Events organization as a Director of Human Resources. As an HR director, you will collaborate Human Resources and segment leadership in helping cultivate a strategic direction for their workforce. Our Dining and Events segment is one of our largest consisting of several brands that provide a wide variety of products and services, from professional dining and cultural attractions to catering and commissaries. Our Dining & Events group creates memorable experiences for all to enjoy. You will have the opportunity to create HR policies and programs including workforce engagement and talent management, work alongside other business leaders to increase the productivity of the Dining and Events organization, and improve the overall employee experience.
What you'll be doing:
- Set strategic direction for workforce planning and talent management
- Provide support for organizational change management and communications.
- Creating and enforcing new HR programs and policies
- Own the employee relations issues within the segment
- Reviewing existing practices to ensure legality and consistency in implementation
- Partnering with business leaders to develop HR strategies focused on talent management, organizational effectiveness, workforce planning, and employee engagement
- Providing business leaders with data-driven recommendations to improve performance, retention, and the overall employee experience
- Act as a respected and trusted coach to Segment Leadership on a variety of topics including communications, performance management, employee relations, compensation, and performance.
- Work with Center of Excellence to effectively communicate Corporate Human Resources driven initiatives to the field and encourages action when appropriate.
- Establish and maintain relationships of trust to foster transparency, open and honest two-way communication and collaboration.
- Through business metrics, identify Human Resources trends and builds custom solutions to support the business segment.
- Ensure compliance in safety, policies and procedures to reduce workplace incidents/injuries.
What we're looking for:
Must-haves:
- Bachelor's Degree from accredited university
- 6+ years of progressive HR experience (in multiple HR functions including but not limited to employee relations, talent development, talent review and succession planning, employee engagement, performance management and talent acquisition) with 2+ years in a management role.
- Proven expertise in developing partnerships with leadership and influencing key business decisions.
- Comprehensive knowledge of HR principles, employment laws and regulations.
- Demonstrated ability to manage human resources at both the strategic and tactical levels.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Experience supporting hourly employee client groups
- Experience in hospitality and/or contract services preferred
- Demonstrated experience managing and leading employees
Nice-to-haves:
- Proficiency with HRIS System
- Human Resources experience with mid to large size organizations supporting 500 or more associates

- Target pay range for this role is $150-170K with bonus potential
