What You’ll Do:
The Pastry Chef is responsible for production of a variety of confections and baked goods across our multi-unit property, comprised of a Café, Restaurant, Concession Stands, and iconic events. The candidate will work closely with our dynamic team of chefs and managers to ensure all pastry needs are met and exceeded, with excellent attention to detail to elevate the guest experience.
Compensation is $23-$28 an hour.

Reports to: Food & Beverage Operations // Executive Chef
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and assemble various pastries, confections, breads and desserts, including any accompaniments and visually presented to the highest standards.
- Maintain a smooth and efficient flow of all pastry operations, ensuring seamless communication with Front-of-House and kitchen teams.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and incorporate an aesthetic approach to the craft, with appreciation of the delicacies of flavor pairings to elevate guest experience.
- Collaborate with chefs to develop food for event-based concessions, ensuring that menus reflect the unique seasonal and exhibition themes.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including workstations, equipment, and storage areas, adhering to all food safety, sanitation, and health protocols.
- Support kitchen operations by managing inventory, minimizing food waste, and managing orders and requisitions for all pastry supplies.
- Integrate sustainable practices in ingredient sourcing, waste reduction, and packaging to uphold the team’s commitment to sustainability.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1+ years as a Pastry Chef or in a similar role within a high-volume, luxury multi-unit operation.
- Culinary degree or equivalent professional experience.
- Certified and up-to-date with food safety protocols.
- Strong understanding of kitchen operations and pastry techniques, including mixing, baking, piping, and decorating.
- Knowledge of pastry ingredients, flavors, and flavor combinations, with a creative mindset in presentation.
- Passion for plant-forward and sustainable cuisine, with a desire to continually learn and grow in the culinary field.
- Ability to multitask, maintaining high standards of excellence and a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, supporting the overall team atmosphere.
- Commitment to food safety, cleanliness, and an efficient work environment.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
