As a Barista for Pine Tree Cafe, you will contribute to our success by consistently providing outstanding customer experience and quality coffee beverages. Along with a professional attitude and food safety responsibilities, our baristas are expected to pursue the growth of their coffee knowledge and develop a passion for the craft.

 

Compensation is $17-$19 an hour.

What you'll be doing:

  • Prepare and serve high-quality coffee and espresso beverages, teas, and other specialty drinks. 
  • Deliver exceptional customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders, and providing recommendations. 
  • Process transactions accurately, following system protocols and qualty standards. 
  • Maintain a clean and organized work station that is well-stocked and efficient for daily operations. 
  • Collaborate with team members on inventory levels, including ordering supplies, tracking usage, and minimizing waste. 

What we're looking for:

  Must-haves: 

  • Previous experience as a barista, particularly in a high-end or specialty café setting. 
  • Demonstrated passion for coffee with enthusiasm for enhancing the customer experience. 
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with both team members and customers. 
  • Commitment to food safety, cleanliness, and an efficient work environment. 
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. 

Nice-to-haves: 

  • At least two years’ experience working in a retail environment.
