Constellation Culinary is seeking a Facilities Manager to oversee 2 properties within our portfolio.  The locations include Tarrytown, NY and Stamford, CT.

The Role at a glance:

Position Summary
The Facilities & Event Operations Manager is responsible for the leadership and oversight of facilities, maintenance, housekeeping, event setup, and event support operations across two hospitality and event venues. This role ensures both properties remain safe, clean, operationally efficient, and guest-ready while supporting exceptional event execution and client satisfaction.

The Manager oversees facility maintenance and repairs, preventive maintenance programs, capital projects, event setup and breakdown operations, inventory management, vendor relationships, property security, safety compliance, staffing, and budget performance. Working closely with the District Manager, Sales, Event Operations, and venue leadership teams, this position drives operational excellence, service quality, and financial performance across both locations.

What you'll be doing:

HUMAN RESOURCES: 

• Hire, schedule, coach & counsel and conduct performance evaluations of staff.
• Develop, train and mentor staff and act as a resource to them.
• Responsible for recommending or conducting disciplinary action, including termination, of House and Maintenance staff necessary according to HR company standards.
• Monitoring staffing levels to minimize cost and increase productivity.  Recommend staffing needs according to business levels.
• Develop necessary training programs for House Staff and Maintenance associates.

FINANCIAL/ PURCHASING:

• Accountable for departmental labor cost and direct operating costs.
• Order event equipment as necessary, following proper purchasing standards
• Conduct monthly inventory of all equipment pertaining to areas of responsibility
• Work with receiving departments to ensure all linen orders arrive in full in good condition. Ensure linen orders are replaced after checking par levels to maintain consistent and usable par levels.
• Responsible for storing, distributing and maintaining par levels of all event equipment (tables, chairs, flip charts, vessels, etc). Ensure all equipment is in good working conditional and meets all company standards.

CATERING SERVICES:

• Manage and oversee banquet event set up and break down functions.
• Work closely with Sales Managers and Event Managers ensuring client requests involving A/V, room set up, cleanliness, breakdown , A/V, , etc. are met.
• Responsible for the organization, cleaning, sanitation standards and effective maintenance of the Front of House areas.

MAINTENANCE & REPAIRS:

• Manage all Tappan Hill and Loading Dock facility maintenance, repairs and renovation projects.
• Develop and maintain contracts for Electrical, Plumbing, Heating & Ventilation, Grounds Keeping vendors. Responsible for scheduling and monitoring vendors for any projects or building needs.
• Responsible for establishing and enforcing company safety procedures and standards including maintenance of property security and fire system.
• Assist District Manager and Director of Operations with any Capital Projects as necessary. 

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Travel, as necessary, to different properties/venues.
• Perform all reasonable requests by the management team.
• Attend and participate in weekly Ops meeting to ensure effective communication and understanding of event/ client requirements.
• Meet weekly with the District Manager and Director of Operations to discuss the Operations of both Tappan Hill and The Loading Dock Facilities.
• Attend and participate in all scheduled meetings and training sessions.
• Follow proper time keeping policies and procedures
• Follow the sign in and out procedure for keys.
• Know and follow all Abigail Kirsch and Tappan Hill/The Loading Dock emergency and safety procedures.

LOADING DOCK RESPONSIBLITIES:

• Implement and oversee maintenance programs for proper up keep of the property and its contents.
• Oversee the Facilities Supervisor in maintaining a working inventory and knowledge of the AK China, Glass, silver and vessel décor inventory.
• Work closely with the Facilities Supervisor, Event Manager and Sales Manager’s to ensure consistent excellence in event execution and overall operation of the facility.

Required Qualifications
•    Minimum three (3) years of management experience in hospitality, catering, event operations, convention services, facilities management, or a related field.
•    Experience leading hourly and supervisory team members in a fast-paced environment.
•    Knowledge of facility operations, preventive maintenance programs, and building systems.
•    Strong leadership, organizational, and project management skills.
•    Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
•    Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
•    Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.
•    Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays based on business needs.
•    Ability to travel between locations as required.
•    Preferred Qualifications
•    Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Facilities Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

Compensation Range:

• $84,000 - $90,000 dependent on experience #LIGG1 #boost
