Job Title: Warehouse Quality Assurance (QA) Manager – USDA Experience Required

Pay is based on experience- 85-90k (Could be higher with right background)

Location- Pearl, MS Traditions Plant-Full Time- Weekly Pay

Hours-7a-430p (normally) M-F

Job Summary

The Warehouse QA Manager is responsible for overseeing all quality assurance and food safety programs within a warehouse/distribution environment. This role ensures compliance with USDA regulations, company standards, and customer requirements while maintaining product integrity throughout storage and distribution. The ideal candidate has strong experience with USDA inspections, audit readiness, and food safety systems in a warehouse setting.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all QA and food safety programs within the warehouse
  • Ensure compliance with USDA, FDA (if applicable), and local regulatory requirements
  • Act as the primary point of contact for USDA inspectors and regulatory agencies
  • Maintain and implement HACCP plans, SSOPs, and preventive controls
  • Oversee product inspection, temperature controls, and storage conditions
  • Manage traceability, recall procedures, and product hold/release processes
  • Conduct internal audits and prepare for external audits (USDA, third-party, customer)
  • Investigate quality issues, non-conformances, and customer complaints; implement corrective actions
  • Train warehouse staff on food safety, sanitation, and quality standards
  • Collaborate with operations, logistics, and suppliers to ensure quality compliance across the supply chain
  • Monitor and report KPIs related to quality, food safety, and compliance
  • Ensure proper documentation and recordkeeping in accordance with USDA requirements
  • Lead sanitation and pest control programs in partnership with vendors

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Quality Assurance, Microbiology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 3–7+ years of QA experience in a food warehouse, distribution, or manufacturing environment
  • Direct experience working with USDA regulations and inspections is required
  • Strong knowledge of HACCP, FSMA, GMPs, and sanitation programs
  • Experience with audit management (USDA, SQF, BRC, or similar preferred)
  • Excellent problem-solving and root cause analysis skills
  • Strong leadership and team management experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and QA systems/software

Preferred Qualifications

  • HACCP Certification
  • PCQI (Preventive Controls Qualified Individual)
  • Experience with USDA-regulated products (meat, poultry, or dairy)
  • Experience in cold storage or temperature-controlled environments
