The Role at a glance:
The Catering Captain is responsible for leading on-site catering events, serving as the main point of contact for clients, venue staff, and internal teams. This role ensures events run smoothly, service standards are met, and staff are properly coordinated from setup through breakdown.

Your Pay:
Pay Range: $50 / hr
What you'll be doing:
- Act as the on-site leader for catered events
- Serve as the primary liaison between clients, venue contacts, and the catering team
- Review event orders (BEOs) and ensure all details are executed accurately
- Lead pre-event briefings and assign staff roles
- Oversee setup, service flow, timing, and breakdown
- Ensure proper food handling, safety, and sanitation standards are followed
- Maintain presentation, professionalism, and hospitality standards
- Troubleshoot issues in real time and communicate updates as needed
- Manage staffing needs, including breaks and coverage
- Handle post-event wrap-up, including feedback and reporting any issues
What we're looking for:
- Prior catering, hospitality, or event service experience required
- Leadership or supervisory experience preferred
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Professional demeanor and customer-service mindset
- Knowledge of food safety and service standards
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and stand for extended periods
