The Role at a glance:

We are looking to add a motivated, effective food service director to our Constellation Culinary Group team in New York, NY and Greenwich, CT. 

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven General Manager to lead our Professional Dining operations across three locations in the New York metro area. This leadership role is responsible for driving operational excellence, developing high-performing teams, and serving as the primary partner to our client stakeholders.

The General Manager provides strategic and operational leadership for all aspects of food service operations, including financial performance, culinary execution, guest experience, team development, safety and sanitation compliance, and client satisfaction. The ideal candidate is a proactive leader with strong business acumen, a passion for hospitality, and a proven track record managing large-scale food service operations.

What you'll be doing:

What You'll Be Doing
•    Provide leadership and oversight for multiple professional dining locations, ensuring consistent execution of service, hospitality, culinary quality, and company standards.
•    Manage all aspects of a portfolio, including budgeting, forecasting, labor management, cost controls, and financial performance.
•    Serve as the primary liaison with client leadership, building strong relationships and ensuring service delivery aligns with client expectations and business objectives.
•    Lead, coach, and develop management teams and frontline associates, creating a culture of accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement.
•    Analyze operating metrics and implement action plans to drive revenue growth, profitability, guest satisfaction, and operational efficiency.
•    Ensure full compliance with food safety, sanitation, health department regulations, workplace safety standards, and company policies.
•    Partner with culinary, operations, and support teams to develop innovative dining programs and elevate the overall guest experience.
•    Oversee hiring, succession planning, performance management, and talent development initiatives across all locations.
•    Manage purchasing, inventory controls, vendor relationships, and operating expenses to achieve financial targets.
•    Address client and guest concerns promptly while maintaining a high level of service excellence.
Required Qualifications
•    Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Culinary Arts, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
•    8+ years of progressive food service or hospitality management experience, including leadership of multi-unit or large-volume dining operations.
•    Proven experience managing significant budgets, financial performance, and P&L accountability.
•    Demonstrated success leading salaried managers and large hourly workforces.
•    Strong client relationship management skills with experience interacting with executive-level stakeholders.
•    Ability to analyze financial and operational data and develop strategies to achieve business objectives.
•    Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
•    Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

What we're looking for:

Preferred Qualifications
•    Professional Dining, Business Dining, Higher Education, or Contract Food Service experience.
•    Multi-site management experience.
•    ServSafe Manager Certification and/or HACCP Certification.
•    Experience with food service management systems, inventory controls, and POS reporting tools.
•    Relevant industry certifications are a plus.

Compensation Range

Base: $125,000 - $140,000 plus bonus
