The Role at a Glance:
Elior North America, located at West Virginia University, is seeking a detail-oriented HR Coordinator to serve as a vital link between talent acquisition and employee operations. Working directly under the HR Manager, you will drive candidate engagement through end-to-end recruitment coordination, streamline onboarding, and execute accurate weekly payroll processing. This role is ideal for an organized HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering exceptional service to candidates and leadership.
What you'll be doing:
Recruitment & Staffing Logistics: Post open requisitions, review resumes, schedule interviews, interviews, and manage candidate communications to maintain a smooth hiring pipeline.
Onboarding & Offboarding: Facilitate onboarding, verify I-9, coordinate background checks, and manage employment status updates.
Payroll Execution & Timekeeping: Audit timesheets in Dayforce, process wage adjustments, verify leave balances, and ensure accurate, timely pay cycles.
Employee Relations Support: Serve as an approachable point of contact for routine workplace inquiries, assist the HR Manager with intake for policy questions or workplace concerns, coordinate employee recognition programs, and help maintain accurate documentation for employee relations matters.
Personnel Records & Compliance: Maintain complete, accurate, and confidential employee personnel files (electronic and physical) in compliance with state regulations, and federal laws.
What we're looking for:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
- Experience: 1+ years of HR experience with direct exposure to recruitment support and payroll processing preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with HRIS platforms (e.g., Dayforce, Framework, Excel, Microsoft) and Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS).
- Core Skills: Strong numerical accuracy, high discretion with confidential data, and excellent written/verbal communication.
