Senior Infrastructure Engineer
The Role at a Glance:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join our team. This role is responsible for designing, deploying, and maintaining a robust network and server infrastructure across multiple locations. The ideal candidate has strong expertise in Cisco Meraki, Windows Server environments, virtualization, and cloud-based solutions. This is an exciting opportunity to collaborate with global teams, ensure system reliability, and optimize IT infrastructure to meet business needs.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Network & System Administration
- Manage and maintain the Cisco Meraki network stack, including firewalls, switches, VLANs, and wireless access points.
- Design, implement, and troubleshoot network security measures, including firewall rules, port security, and VPN configurations.
- Oversee IP networking and protocols, ensuring reliability in DNS, SMTP, DHCP, and remote access services.
- Ensure high availability and uptime of IT infrastructure by monitoring and maintaining remote network environments.
- Install, configure, and maintain Windows Server environments, ensuring optimal performance and security.
- Support VMware Horizon VDI and Workspace ONE environments, assisting with change management and troubleshooting.
- Perform patch management, antivirus updates, and system monitoring to enforce security policies.
- Provide Tier 3 escalation support, troubleshooting complex technical issues related to Active Directory, Azure AD, and Microsoft 365.
- Design and implement IT infrastructure for new facility openings, including switches, firewalls, wireless networks, cabling, and internet connectivity.
- Work closely with business stakeholders, clients, and vendors to ensure network reliability and service level agreements (SLAs) are met.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, diagrams, and procedures for infrastructure environments.
- Coordinate with third-party service providers to maintain high service quality and ensure rapid issue resolution.
- Provide after-hours and on-call support for critical system issues and maintenance when necessary.
- Work within ZenDesk to document and manage support tickets, ensuring timely resolution.
- Support Windows desktop environments, including SCCM and Windows Update for Business.
- Communicate technical concepts clearly and effectively to end users and stakeholders.
What We’re Looking For:
Must-Haves:
- 5+ years of experience in a technical infrastructure role.
- Expertise in Cisco Meraki networking, including MX firewalls, MR wireless access points, and MS switches.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server environments and Microsoft 365 administration (Azure AD, ADFS, PowerShell, InTune).
- Hands-on experience with IP networking, VPNs, DNS, SMTP, and DHCP.
- Proficiency in VMware Horizon VDI and Workspace ONE for virtual desktop management.
- Advanced troubleshooting skills, providing Tier 3 support for infrastructure-related incidents.
Nice-to-Haves:
- Experience with SCCM and Windows Update for Business for endpoint management.
- Familiarity with cloud-based security policies and compliance standards.
- Strong communication and documentation skills to support end users and collaborate with business teams.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-availability environment while managing multiple projects.
