Position Summary:

The Infrastructure Engineer is part of a team which is responsible for the Elior North America network and server infrastructure.  The Infrastructure Engineer designs, deploys, maintains and monitors switches, firewalls, servers and virtualized environments throughout the Elior infrastructure.  The Infrastructure Engineer works with other Information Services staff as well as business end users in the troubleshooting and resolution of network services and maintains documentation and database information on systems.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Collaborate with global team members on technical infrastructure initiatives and standards
  • Manage and maintain Cisco Meraki network equipment stack and web portal including equipment inventory and monitoring
  • Install and configure VLANs, port security, and firewall rules on network equipment
  • Assist with change management and troubleshooting of VMware VDI and server environment
  • Collaborate with business partners and clients to ensure integrity and reliability of network services at remote facilities
  • Design, implement and maintain the organization’s IT infrastructure including networks, servers, storage and virtualization environments
  • Design and implement new facility openings including switches, firewalls, wireless, cabling and internet connectivity
  • Ensure availability and uptime of computer resources by monitoring and maintaining remote network environments
  • Ensure timely patch management, antivirus and consistent policies on end-user computing devices
  • Partner and coordinate with 3rd party service providers and vendors to maintain SLA levels and ensure timely service
  • Develop and maintain documentation, diagrams and procedures related to the infrastructure environment
  • May need to provide after hours or on call assistance for critical system issues/outages or after-hours maintenance
  • Document, create and work on tickets as assigned within the ZenDesk ticketing platform
  • Provide Tier 3 support escalation and troubleshooting for incidents, outages and complex technical issues including Active Directory, Azure AD and Microsoft 365 environment

 

 

 

Minimum Requirements:

  • 5 years of experience in a technical role
  • Technical knowledge of the Cisco Meraki product line including MX firewalls, switches and wireless access points (MR, MX, MS devices)
  • Technical knowledge of the Windows Server Environment
  • Working knowledge of IP networking and protocols including DNS, SMTP, DHCP, VPN
  • Experience with VMWare Horizon VDI and WorkSpace ONE
  • Experience with the Microsoft 365 environment including Office 365, AzureAD, ADFS, PowerShell, InTune
  • Expert level knowledge of Windows desktop systems
  • Experience with SCCM and Windows Update for Business
  • Ability to communicate technical complexities in a clear and business friendly way with our end users and stakeholders
