The Role at a Glance
The Lead Accountant, Treasury is responsible for overseeing day-to-day treasury and cash management activities within Elior North America’s Shared Services Center. This role provides hands-on leadership across cash transaction processing, bank reconciliations, field cash controls, and cash count compliance across multiple entities and locations.
The Lead Treasury Accountant plays a critical role in safeguarding company funds, maintaining strong internal controls, supporting working capital objectives, and ensuring accurate and timely financial close. This position combines technical treasury expertise with team leadership, process improvement, and cross-functional collaboration across Finance, Operations, and Field Leadership.

What You’ll Do
Treasury & Cash Management
- Oversee daily cash management activities, including ACH, wires, checks, lockbox, and other electronic transactions.
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of bank reconciliations in accordance with SSC close calendars.
- Review and resolve reconciling items, unapplied cash, cash over/shorts, and variances.
- Oversee field cash processes, including location-level cash handling and compliance monitoring.
- Ensure timely submission and follow-up of field cash counts across locations.
- Support working capital objectives by ensuring accurate cash visibility and issue resolution.
- Prepare cash-related schedules and reconciliations to support month-end close and reporting.
- Support internal and external audits, including controls related to cash and treasury.
Internal Controls & Compliance
- Ensure adherence to treasury policies, cash handling procedures, and internal controls.
- Identify control gaps, compliance risks, and escalate appropriately.
- Maintain strong segregation of duties and documentation standards.
Team Leadership
- Lead, coach, and develop treasury and reconciliation professionals.
- Assign and prioritize workloads to meet operational and month-end deadlines.
- Conduct one-on-one meetings, performance feedback discussions, and evaluations.
- Support onboarding and cross-training for operational continuity.
- Foster accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement.
Process Improvement & Collaboration
- Drive process standardization, efficiency, and automation within treasury operations.
- Partner with AR, AP, Accounting, Operations, and Field Leadership to resolve issues.
- Participate in ERP implementations and treasury-related projects.
- Maintain and update SOPs and documentation.
Reporting & Communication
- Provide visibility into cash activity, reconciliation status, and close readiness.
- Communicate risks and operational challenges in a timely manner.
- Serve as a key point of contact for treasury-related inquiries.
What You’ll Bring
Required Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience in treasury operations, cash management, or bank reconciliations.
- 1–2 years of experience leading or mentoring team members.
- Strong understanding of cash controls and month-end close activities.
- Experience in a shared services or high-volume, multi-location environment.
- Proficiency with ERP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Where You’ll Be Working
Onsite at the corporate office in Houston, TX four days per week, with the option to work remotely one day per week.

$70,000.00 – $90,000.00
