The Role at a glance:

We are looking for a skilled, Finance Analyst to join Elior North America’s corporate Finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a driven and analytical Financial Analyst to work closely with our CFO and CEO on many highly visible initiatives.  This position will be an integral part of the analysis and tracking of capital expenditure investment as well as being the Finance Analyst to the corporate support departments. This position requires a motivated, analytical, initiative-taker who is highly organized, accurate, and able to communicate in a professional manner with the executive committee members.

What you'll be doing:

  • Consolidate, analysis  and review P&L deals 
  • Analysis and reporting capital expenditures in new deals and rebids.
  • Consolidation tracking and reporting on the capital expenditures once the new/existing business is sold or retained.
  • Partner with corporate departments on budgeting and forecasting and P&L reporting.
  • Assist with expense tracking and account coding.
  • Provide department leaders with analysis to support decisions.
  • Analyze capital and operational spend by project and present results to executive management; provide guidance on capitalization policy.
  • Assist in reviewing and analyzing trial balances to ensure accuracy and consistency of account mapping and reporting. 
  • Analyze current and past trends in key performance indicators including all areas of expenses and capital expenditures.
  • Monitor performance indicators, highlighting trends and analyzing causes of unexpected variance.
  • Assist in the continued development of budgeting, financial forecasting, operating plans, and modeling tools.
  • Create ad hoc financial reports and other analyses projects as requested by management.

What we're looking for:

Must-haves:

  • BS or BA in Accounting/Finance 
  • 4-8 years progressive accounting and finance experience
  • Advanced Excel Skills including building dashboards manually if necessary
  • Initiative-taker with the ability to problem solve and bring tasks to completion.
  • Must be able to communicate ideas effectively and concisely to all levels of the organization.
  • Background in collaborating with a team and establishing good working relationships.
  • Ability to coordinate the completion of multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize competing requirements.
  • Experience with and understanding of accounting ERP systems, processes, and charts of accounts.
  • Travel to business units as needed, normally less than 10%.

Nice-to-haves:

  • CPA and/or MBA. 
  • Experience with Great Plains or SAP 
  • Experience with PowerBI
  • Experience with CRM tools

This role is working closely with our CFO and CEO out of our Houston, TX based corporate office located at 4920 Westway Park Blvd. Houston, TX 77041
