The Role at a glance:

Elior North America is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accountant, Fixed Assets to join our driven and solutions-oriented, centralized Houston, TX based Accounting Organization. 

The role entails managing the preparation of fixed asset disclosures and annual analyses, safeguarding the accuracy of data, managing transitions of data, and performing tests on data and systems. This position provides a unique opportunity to significantly impact our financial reporting procedures and ensure the reliability of our financial documentation.  

What you'll be doing:

  • Prepare fixed asset disclosures and year-end analyses according to accounting standards and company guidelines. 
  • Establish a fixed asset register for the new mega project. 
  • Keep accurate records of fixed assets and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. 
  • Routinely review fixed asset data for discrepancies to maintain data integrity. 
  • Collaborate with various teams to oversee data migration projects and facilitate smooth system transitions. 
  • Conduct data and system tests to address and rectify issues, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of financial data. 
  • Support both internal and external audits by preparing necessary documentation and addressing audit queries. 
  • Aid with various ad hoc projects and tasks to help the finance team meet company goals. 

What we're looking for:

Must-haves:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or related field required. 
  • Two (2) years or more of related experience and/or training required. 
  • Experience in developing and managing a ledger. 
  • At least 3 years of experience in fixed asset accounting or a comparable role 
  • General computer competency is required, including Microsoft Excel (advanced), Word, and Outlook 
  • Experience with Great Plains required.
