The Role at a glance:

We are looking to add a skilled Lead Quality Assurance Technician to our Traditions team in West Sacramento, CA. As a Lead Quality Assurance Technician, you will have the opportunity to lead and assist other technicians throughout the facility. 

What you'll be doing:

  • Signing off on HACCP paperwork in lieu of upper management when necessary.
  • Processing sample requests for the Traditions sales force.
  • Documenting and taking temperatures in relation to the HACCP program in the assigned area.
  • Completing paperwork daily and obtaining sign-off from Management.
  • Assisting in training new technicians and assisting with daily duties as needed.
  • Assisting the Director of Operations with managing the QA department when the QA Manager is absent.
  • Documenting weight verification as necessary.
  • Verifying product ingredients and case count.
  • Verifying labels for accuracy.
  • Placing product on hold for clarification as necessary.
  • Notifying Management of issues on the production floor. 

What we're looking for:
Must-haves: 

  • A minimum of one (1) year previous experience as a Quality Assurance Technician at Traditions or a USDA inspected facility required.
  • Previous knowledge or experience in practicing proper safety standards in handling food and equipment required.
  • Basic math, reading, and writing abilities.
  • Ability to follow the health standards of the food service industry.
  • Ability to lift at least 30 lbs. or more.

Compensation:
The pay rate is $22.00/hr.
