Director of Procurement-Corrections 

This is a remote position with up to 25 % travel. 
Salary is based on experience

This individual is responsible for working closely with the Procurement Team and Corrections segment leadership.  Key responsibilities include performing in-depth data analysis, spend analytics, benchmarking, and sourcing for both food and commissary.  Communicating results and recommendations to various groups and cross-functional teams across the business. 

Focus will be on:

  • Formulation and Execution of Food and Commissary Supply Strategies
  • Proactive supplier/cost management
  • Cost reduction/mitigation
  • Problem solve supply chain continuity, delivery and substitution issues
  • Optimization of Purchasing Volume
  • Setting Key Performance Metrics
  • Benchmarking

Core Position Expectations

  • Develop and apply standardized and rigorous approach related to procurement analysis such as:
    • Financial/Sourcing modeling for RFP bid analyses
    • Cost saving methodology
    • Gross / Net spend analytics
    • Plan / Forecasting analysis
  • Provide analytical support for sourcing activities by performing:
    • Spend analysis
    • Bid comparisons
    • Feasibility analysis
    • Cost/benefit analysis
    • Process analysis
  • Develop, track, and report competitive spend analysis, communicate findings to ENA procurement leadership and Corrections segment leadership
  • Develop and implement tools to allow rigorous cost and market analysis to be used for prospective client bids, and leveraged by commodity sourcing teams
  • Assist sourcing and operational negotiations as needed
  • Develop, implement, monitor and report performance measures that demonstrate value and ensure supplier performance
  • Build/establish relationships with key business, financial, dietary and operational personnel to ensure full understanding and support for purchasing initiatives

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of relevant corrections food service and/or commissary purchasing experience; Corrections food service operations experience a plus.
  • Strong negotiation skills are required. 
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills combined with superior analytical ability are essential. 
  • Strong skills with Excel
  • Knowledge of an ad hoc reporting system necessary.
