The Role at a glance:

We are seeking a motivated and organized Catering Coordinator for a seasonal hourly position (April – October) to support or sales and operations team. This role will involve supporting various aspects of event planning and execution. As a key member of our team, you will also have the opportunity to fill in as a lead when necessary. This position may be followed by a seasonal layoff from November to March.

What you'll be doing:

  • Assist in the preparation of event documentation inclusive of proposal, contracts and event packets to ensure seamless execution
  • Create and maintain detailed floorplans and timelines for events to ensure all operational need are met
  • Support the office administration by maintaining organization of files and records related to events
  • Collaborate with the sales team in detailing proposals for internal events and special functions
  • Serve as a back-up lead during events, overseeing staff and ensuring operations run smoothly
  • Attend planning meetings and contribute input related to event execution and improvements

What we're looking for:

  • Previous experience in event planning, catering or hospitality
  • Strong organization and time – management skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suites (Word, Excel, Power Point)
  • Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Team – oriented mindset with willingness to assist colleagues as needed

 

Must-haves:

  • Must have an open and flexible schedule including mornings, afternoons, nights, weekends and holidays as needed
  • Reliable transportation to commute between units
  • Valid driver’s license to drive company catering vehicles

 

Nice-to-haves:

  • Prior catering experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Power Point, Excel, Outlook)

Compensation:

Up to $30/hour depending on experience
