The Role at a glance:

We are looking to add an experienced, motivated lead foodservice worker to our K-12 by Elior team in East Chicago, IN. As a lead foodservice worker, you will have the opportunity to lead daily operation onsite by ensuring quality food preparation and service.

Your Pay:

$16.50 / hour

Where you'll be working:

School City of East Chicago

What you'll be doing:

  • Ensuring proper preparation and storage of food. 
  • Directing food service staff and operations to ensure a successful meal service. 
  • Ordering food and paper products as needed. 
  • Ensuring sanitation and safety procedures are followed at all times. 
  • Training new staff members as needed.

What we're looking for:

Must-haves: 

  • High school diploma or equivalent. 
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills. 
  • Strong customer service skills. 
  • ServSafe certification. 
  • At least one years’ experience in a foodservice role. 

 

Nice-to-haves: 

  • At least one years’ experience in a supervisory role.
