The Role at a glance:
This role serves as the nutrition, wellness and allergen safety resource for the education operational teams. Provide wellness and menu systems software support for Education business units (collegiate, independent schools and school dining). Collaborates with operations leaders, culinary, marketing and business development to support and meet the needs of the segment. Supports the corporate menu team as needed with various tasks in the menu systems.
What you'll be doing:
Key Accountabilities:
- Provides on-site and virtual support with wellness programming, allergen, dietary needs and sports nutrition to schools, colleges and universities.
- Assists operational unit leaders with dietary needs of students and any other requested allergen or wellness needs.
- Serve as a resource for food allergies, custom dietary requests and food safety to the segment and units.
- Assists students and other customers with special dietary needs, including allergens, providing further direction in the dining hall and/or custom menus as needed.
- Help develop and contribute to nutrition team projects and other business initiatives.
- Supports healthy dining goals of the business through BeWell programing.
- Provide 1-1 counseling with students, faculty, or staff regarding special dietary needs, nutritional concerns, questions or needs virtually or in person.
- Collaborates with campus health services other wellness groups to promote health and wellness on campus via special events. (Examples: nutrition presentations, informational booths).
- Supports implementation and use of allergen aware stations at the unit level.
- Works in menu software on campus for labeling compliance (nutrition information, ingredients and allergen/specialty diet information) in collaboration with corporate wellness and culinary teams.
- Supports the labeling of specialty diet menu options and allergens via the menu software program. Educates and trains food service staff about the labeling program and safe preparation to avoid cross contact as needed.
- Supports ongoing compliance with federal programing around grab and go and calorie labeling laws.
- Assures compliance with standards of practice and regulatory requirements.
- Attends company meetings and participates in committees as required.
- Attends professional meetings and conferences to keep informed of current practices and trends in the field of dietetics, food and nutrition.
What we're looking for:
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelors degree from an accredited Nutrition or Dietetics program and Registration by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
- Ability to become licenses in multiple states.
- Maintains continuing education credits as mandated by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics of 75 credits every 5 years.
- Proficient in Microsoft programs and food management systems.
- Able to read, write and provide directions, strong communication, interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain patient/client confidentiality, utilize effective interpersonal skills and assist in helping clients set goals.
- Ability to work with team members and effectively exchange information on functional matters and set priorities to complete projects.
- Demonstrated ability to handle difficult situations with students and staff with confidentiality, good judgment, tact and empathy.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
- Must be a team player and customer service-oriented.
- Valid drivers license
- Ability to travel up to 75%

Compensation Range
Compensation is up to $75,000 / year based on experience.
