The Role at a glance:

We are looking to add an experienced, motivated Executive Sous Chef to our Cura Hospitality team in Rochester, MN. As an Executive Sous Chef with Cura Hospitality, you will have the opportunity to supervise and participate in the preparation of meals as assigned. This position will have a variable schedule working 40 hours per week, including some weekends and holidays.

What you'll be doing:

  • Planning, organizing, and supervising culinary operations for rehabilitation, long term care, retail and catering services.
  • Planning menus based on various factors, such as market trends, customer preferences, and nutritional considerations.
  • Reporting to the General Manager and collaborating with other culinary and department leaders regarding daily aspects of dining service.
  • Directing and coordinating the work of kitchen staff to ensure oversight of regulatory and sanitation requirements.
  • Other tasks as assigned.  

What we're looking for:

Must-haves: 

  • Certification by a recognized culinary institution or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • At least three years’ experience in culinary management.
  • Experienced in use of online platforms; ordering, inventory, email, financial portals
  • Must be ServSafe certified and current CFPM.
  • Knowledgeable and experienced with State and CMS regulations.
  • IDDSI knowledge.
  • Ability to support buildings on the Rochester campus as needed.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills

Nice-to-haves: 

  • At least one years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Certified Dietary Manager certification (CDM)

Compensation Range:

  • $29.00 - $31.25 per hour, depending on experience.
