The Role at a glance:
We are looking to add an experienced, skilled Accounts Receivable Collections Specialist to our finance and accounting team. As an Accounting Specialist, you will have the opportunity to support the growth and operation of business through the distribution, analysis, and review of financial documents and data.
What you'll be doing:
As an Accounts Receivable Collection Specialist, you’ll play a vital role in maintaining the financial health of our organization. Your responsibilities will include:
- Proactively managing and collecting outstanding accounts receivables to meet or exceed company targets.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients to ensure timely payments and address any payment issues professionally.
- Investigating and resolving payment discrepancies and disputes to ensure accurate account records.
- Preparing and sending account statements, dunning letters, and collection notices as needed.
- Collaborating with internal teams, including sales and customer service, to resolve billing issues or escalate payment delays.
- Monitoring accounts to identify trends, risks, or opportunities for process improvements.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of all collection activities and correspondence.
- Preparing regular reports for management on collection progress and outstanding receivables.

What we're looking for:
Must-haves:
- At least two years’ relevant work experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong computer skills, especially in Microsoft Office suite.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Nice-to-haves:
- Associate’s degree or higher education.
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP ERP or similar systems.
