The Role at a glance:

We are looking for a Catering Administrator to add to our Abigail Kirsch team at 23 Grand in New York, NY.  This is a great opportunity if you have a catering events background and you have had experience planning and executing those events.  You’ll be directly supporting the needs/goals of the Director of Catering as well as the Catering Sales Manager and the Event Specialist. If you are looking to advance your career in managing catering events, this is a great role for you.


$28 an hour

What you'll be doing:

  • Working as a member of a cohesive operations team supporting the Director of Catering and sales team, as well as the Food & Beverage Director to enable perfect event execution. This individual functions as a support to the Event Manager and Captains, as well as sometimes acting as a junior sales specialist when business levels are high. The Catering administrator maintains a positive, “win-win” attitude, always working to improve the execution and timeliness of their team. 
  • This position creates BEO's speaks with clients, books semi privates and pdr's.
  • Ensures all event information in CaterXpert from the sales team is up to date and fully detailed prior to event/deadlines. 
  • Assisting in the setup and execution of events during peak season.
  • Ensure that event rentals have scheduled deliveries and pickups that are convenient for specialist or venue manager.
  • Maintain calendar of events through Outlook and attend all necessary event meetings and conference calls. 
  • Communicate with sales, culinary and booking staff, as needed, to ensure understanding of menus and client needs.
  • Responsible for the collection and submission of all payments and deposits as it relates to contracted events. They are responsible for ensuring that these payments are on time and responsible for reviewing the weekly AR report and correcting any discrepancies and/or collecting any late payments.

What we're looking for:


  • 2 years of catering/food-beverage and/or administrative/event experience 
  • Basic PC knowledge and comprehension (Word & Excel)
