The Role at a glance:

We are looking to add an experienced Regional Dietitian to our Cura Hospitality team in the Midwest region. As a Regional Dietitian, you will have the opportunity ensure that the clinical staff meets both the company and the client’s goals and expectations by identifying and assessing the nutritional needs of assigned patients/residents, initiate interventions to achieve and/or maintain individuals’ nutritional status, and enhance quality of life consistent with patient’s/resident’s goals.

What you'll be doing:

  • Providing nutritional expertise to the health care team and educating patients/residents, staff, or consultants. 
  • Following the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics’ standards of practice and facility regulatory requirements. 
  • Interacting with other departments in setting up procedures and policies, and in problem solving as it relates to dining service and nutrition. 
  • Actively participating in the development, review, and revision of continuous quality improvement programs.  
  • Be a resource to other dietitians and team members in all aspects of food service management and clinical services. 
  • Assist with managing and overseeing staff members and dietitians as needed. 

What we're looking for:

Must-haves: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in nutrition or related field. 
  • Five years experience as a Registered Dietitian.
  • Licensed or certified, per state requirements. 
  • Knowledge of regulation standards specific to comprehensive assessments, care planning, and residents’ rights. 
  • Ability to teach others, specifically pertaining to nutrition and dietetics. 
  • 3+ years’ clinical experience in long-term care.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to organize workloads and meet time deadlines.

Nice-to-haves: 

  • Food service management experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft software programs.
